I've been commissioned to do a series of paintings using a kind of monoprint technique and today was Day One.
I started by creating a base using water based paints and tomorrow I will start to build them up with oil paint. I'm going to use stencils, rollers and polythene that's where the monoprint bit comes in.Over time I'll work them up in a series of layers and you will be able to see all the different stages and changes they will go through.
Each day after I work on them I'll post some images showing their progress until they're finished and placed in situ at St.David's Hotel, Cardiff.
